Would you want a less stressful holiday?

It’s official that four out of five Britons now take a holistay, daycation or staycation in the UK rather than travelling abroad.  The main reason for this is cost; it saves you a fortune!

As someone who has never been abroad on holiday, I feel that a holistay and daycation or a staycation are underrated.  I remember holidays from when I was six to today as a twenty-three-year-old.  Whether they have been caravan and camping holidays or glamping and self-catering cottages, I have thoroughly enjoyed every contribution that my parents have provided me with.

As many families did years before, my parents were also brought up on staycations.  It was only natural then that my parents would want the same for us as their children.  Staycations have increased our family solidarity.  In particular between relations and distant relatives.  My photo library allows me to remember holidays that I will cherish for the rest of my lifetime.  I believe that it’s the little things that make life worthwhile.

There are countless places to visit in the UK from, castles, roman ruins, country houses, historic dockyards the list is endless.  Whether you stay in EnglandWalesScotland or Ireland, our countryside and its spectacular views are something never to be missed.  Our home counties provide different experiences depending on your age, hobbies and interests.

I believe that whether it’s a holistay, daycation or staycation, my depth of knowledge and understanding about ancient, primaeval, primitive, antique, historic and bygone times, has increased beyond recognition.  These are opportunities for every Tom, Dick, and Harry to learn about the UK.  You don’t have to queue at airport terminals, searching the internet for cheap flight sites to understand we have a world of adventure on our own island.

It was only last year that my first flight happened.  A holiday to Scotland by aeroplane and yes my flights were delayed. I was the 21-year-old, just so excited to sit by the aircraft window.  I don’t think anyone would have been able to burst my happiness bubble.  Even if it was only an hour flight the whole experience of waiting at the airport, delayed flights and enjoying the old time pleasure of people watching was an entirely different feeling to anything I had experienced before. Sometimes people don’t believe me that I haven’t had a holiday abroad yet, but I have never been one for the 18-23-year-old holidays abroad.

Regardless of where you go and where you stay at least you won’t have the dreaded wait at the airport or delayed flights to start or end your holiday mind you; you may have to spend hours queuing on the M25!  Try changing your mindsetbroadening your horizons explore and enjoy our beautiful island.
